Profile and notifications

Your profile page is where you manage your personal settings in Genuics - your display name, notification preferences, and visual theme. These settings affect only your account, not the rest of your organization.

Accessing your profile

Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, then select Profile. You can also navigate directly to your profile from the user menu.

Personal information

Name

Your display name appears throughout Genuics - in comments, action assignments, shared dashboards, and the audit log. You can change it anytime.

1. Go to your Profile page.
2. Click the name field and type your updated name.
3. Click Save.

Email

Your email address is shown on the profile page but is read-only. This is the address you use to sign in and where you receive notifications. If you need to change your email, contact your organization's admin.

Team and role

Your profile also displays your current team and role. These are assigned by an admin and determine what data you can access and what actions you can perform. You can't change these yourself - ask an admin to update them if needed.

Notification preferences

Genuics can notify you about activity that's relevant to your work. Configure which notifications you receive from the profile page.

Mentions

When someone @mentions you in a comment on an action, you receive a notification. This toggle controls whether you see these notifications.

• Enabled (default): you're notified whenever someone mentions you
• Disabled: you won't see mention notifications, but you can still find mentions by checking actions you're involved in

Assignments

When an action is assigned to you, you receive a notification. This keeps you aware of new tasks that need your attention.

• Enabled (default): you're notified when actions are assigned to you
• Disabled: you won't see assignment notifications

Notifications appear as a badge on the bell icon in the top toolbar. Click the icon to see your notification list.

Theme and appearance

Dark and light mode

Genuics supports both dark and light themes. Choose the one that's most comfortable for you.

1. Go to your Profile page.
2. Find the Theme setting.
3. Select Dark, Light, or System (follows your operating system's preference).

The theme change applies immediately across all pages.

Custom brand color

You can customize the accent color used throughout the Genuics interface - in the sidebar active states, buttons, and highlights.

1. Go to your Profile page.
2. Find the Brand Color setting.
3. Select a color from the picker, or enter a hex value.
4. Click Save.

This is a personal preference - it only affects your view. Other users in your organization see their own chosen color (or the default Genuics green).

Sidebar preferences

Collapsed sidebar

If you prefer more screen space for dashboards and reports, you can collapse the sidebar to show only icons.

Toggle the sidebar collapse from the arrow icon at the bottom of the sidebar, or set your default preference on the Profile page. When collapsed, hover over the sidebar to temporarily expand it and see labels.
