Organization settings

Configure your organization's name, logo, security policies, SSO, and audit log.

Organization settings control the global configuration for your Genuics workspace - your identity, security policies, and audit trail. Only users with admin permissions can access these settings.

Accessing organization settings

Go to Setup > Organization in the sidebar. The settings are organized into tabs: General, Security, and Audit Log.

General settings

The General tab covers your organization's identity and membership.

  1. Click the General tab.
  2. Edit the Organization name field. This name appears in the sidebar, email notifications, and shared reports.
  3. Upload a logo by clicking the logo area. Your logo appears in the sidebar and in exported reports. Recommended size: 200x200px, PNG or SVG.
  4. Click Save.

Member list

The General tab also shows a summary of your organization's members - total count, active users, and seat usage. Click Manage Users to go directly to the user management page.

Seats info

You'll see how many seats your plan includes and how many are currently used. If you're approaching your limit, you can purchase additional seats as an add-on or upgrade your plan.

Delete organization

At the bottom of the General tab, you'll find the option to permanently delete your organization.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the General tab.
  2. Click Delete Organization.
  3. Type your organization name to confirm.
  4. Click Permanently Delete.

Security settings

The Security tab lets you enforce authentication and access policies across your entire organization.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

SSO lets your team sign in using their existing identity provider instead of a separate Genuics password.

  1. Click the Security tab.
  2. In the SSO section, click Configure SSO.
  3. Select your identity provider: Google, Microsoft, or Okta.
  4. Follow the provider-specific setup instructions. You'll typically need to create an application in your identity provider's admin console and provide Genuics with a Client ID and Client Secret.
  5. Click Save and test the connection.

Require SSO

Once SSO is configured, you can require all members to sign in through your identity provider. When this toggle is enabled:

  • Users can only sign in via SSO - email/password login is disabled
  • New invitations still go out by email, but the recipient must use SSO to access the workspace
  • Admins can still sign in with email/password as a fallback, in case SSO has an outage

Require two-factor authentication

Enable the Require 2FA toggle to mandate that every user in your organization enables two-factor authentication. When this is on:

  • Existing users without 2FA are prompted to set it up on their next login
  • New users must enable 2FA during onboarding
  • Users cannot disable 2FA while the requirement is active

This is a strong security measure for organizations handling sensitive data. See Two-factor authentication for user-level setup instructions.

Audit log

The Audit Log tab provides a chronological record of significant events in your organization. Every entry includes:

FieldDescription
TimestampWhen the event occurred
UserWho performed the action
ActionWhat they did (e.g., "created", "updated", "deleted")
ResourceWhat was affected (e.g., "dashboard", "user", "dataset")
DetailsAdditional context about the change

What events are logged

The audit log captures:

  • User management: invitations, role changes, deactivations
  • Dataset operations: uploads, deletions, schema changes
  • Dashboard changes: creation, sharing, deletion
  • Report changes: creation, scheduling, deletion
  • Security events: SSO configuration, 2FA enforcement, password resets
  • Organization changes: name, logo, settings updates
  • Billing events: plan changes, subscription updates

Searching and filtering

Use the search bar to find events by user name, action type, or resource. You can also filter by date range to investigate a specific time period.

Retention by plan

Audit log retention depends on your plan:

PlanRetention period
FreeNo audit log
StarterNo audit log
Pro30 days
Enterprise365 days

Events older than your retention period are automatically removed and cannot be recovered.

Best practices

  • Set up SSO early - if your organization uses an identity provider, configuring SSO from the start saves you from migrating users later
  • Enable 2FA requirement - even if you don't use SSO, requiring 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access
  • Review the audit log regularly - a quick weekly check helps you spot unusual activity or unintended changes before they become problems
  • Keep your logo and name current - these appear in exported reports and shared dashboards, so they represent your organization to external viewers
